Annie is such a sweet girl, despite the horrible condition that she arrived in.
Annie, previously Aurora, was a stray found wandering the streets of New York City in mid-October.
We rescued her from NYC Animal Care and Control. She was very sick and sad when she arrived
in New Jersey. Poor girl had kennel cough and skin issues, was limping and was severely underweight. Her eyes
and nose were filled with goop. Because she was so sick, she was not spayed before leaving the shelter.
Annie was just settling in and enjoying her warm bed and walks on the beach when Hurricane Sandy hit.
Annie and her foster family had to evacuate; and due to the devestation left by Sandy in NJ, they have not been able to return
to their home.
Annie‘s kennel cough is now cleared up and she has gained weight. She is now scheduled for
surgery on 11/16. She will be spayed, have entropion surgery on both eyes, have a lump removed, and have
some dental work done.
We needed to raise $900 for Annie‘s surgery.
After her surgeries, Annie will be all set to find a “furever” home.
