Hi, I’m Remington (but I prefer Remi)!
I’m a handsome young man between 1-2 years per the Dr’s best guess. Foster Dad thinks this is very accurate because when I play I have a lot of juvenile energy, and I’m still a little mouthy like a pup…….but only because I want to play! However, Foster Mommy and Daddy have been discouraging this type of play; and I’m starting to catch on quick! They have a senior kitty cat here, not sure I have ever seen one before, but I don’t mind him one bit. He smacked my nose once and I didn’t care. I have a 3 year old two-legged brother who I get along absolutely great with! When he gets upset, I’m one of the first ones there to see what’s wrong. I’ve been very content and happy being a couch cuddler with Foster Mommy at night, sleeping on Foster Dad’s legs in bed, and I don’t even mind sleeping in my crate when I have to. Show me my leash and I’m ready to go though! I have been walking great on the leash so far with my two four-legged foster brothers. I have loved going for rides in Foster Dad’s truck so much that I try and get in even when we aren’t going anywhere. Funny I’m not a retriever, but I have enjoyed chasing all my brother’s balls with him. I’m starting to learn a few commands. Mostly coming to my name which I’m doing better and better with each day. I’m a super fast learner tho and very motivated with treats. Currently, I live in the country with a wide open yard. Foster Mommy and Daddy have been working setting boundaries for me to be on the fence-less system like my foster brothers. So for now, I would still do best in a fenced yard. I don’t desire to leave, but I’m not afraid of an adventure.
We think I could do well with another female dog or a submissive dog. I do fine with the senior dog at my foster home, but the younger male and I do not see eye to eye, and I also didn’t enjoy some high energy dogs that wouldn’t leave me alone. I would also do awesome as an only dog because I really love my humans and don’t really require another four-legged to play with.
I’m a happy, playful boy full of love to give!
