Hi, I’m Toast (previously Alfie)!

I was rescued from a backyard breeder where I was living in atrocious conditions.  I am an adorable little male puppy looking forward to starting my new life with my foster family, that plans to adopt me.

It has been a whirlwind of veterinary care since I arrived.  I had my first veterinarian visit on 7/23.   I had quite a lot going on.  They did a skin scrape…no mites, but yeast was found.  I had a skin infection, ear infection and conjunctivitis with a corneal ulcer on the right eye.    I went to an eye specialist because my corneas were pretty cloudy and looked like they had some healed ulcers making it harder to see all the way to the back of my eyes.  I needed entropion surgery and had that surgery on 8/14.  I just had my eye recheck, and it went really well!   I can see much better now!  My skin is also greatly improved.  I still have some yucky ears, so we know this is something that we will need to keep working on.  My neuter appointment is schedule for 10/29.

I do have an adoption pending, but please check out Greta and Bessie who are looking for their forever homes.   They are beautiful Shar-Pei rescued from the same situation as me who also want a better life with loving families.
