Hi, I’m Dixie (pka Faith)!

I’m a tiny, cream horsecoat Shar-Pei. Foster Mommy says that I am sweet as can be! I am doing well in the house..no accidents and am very good about going in my crate. I am a bit excitable, so we think a home with older children (12 & up) would be best so that I don’t knock any little kids over.  I do need a home with a fenced yard.

We have been slowly introducing me to the three other dogs here.  I also met Abby Cat and did fine…and didn’t chase the chickens.

When I came to Rescue, my skin and ears were in such horrible condition that I had almost no hair left.   Foster Mommy and I went for my first visit with the Rescue’s veterinarian…I was a good girl for the vet.  The good news was that I have gained some weight – yay – and my hair is growing back!  My left ear is ok now, but the right is still infected. The vet cleaned my ears and trimmed my nails.  My eyes were not good, but I recently had entropion surgery to correct my eye issues.  I was also spayed.

Now that I have had my entropion and spay surgeries, I am looking for my perfect “furever” home.   If you think I’m just the perfect little girl for you, please fill out an application and ask for Dixie!
